At 19:57 eleven firefighters on two appliances from Tolvaddon attended a call to a property with a fire in the living room which had spread to the kitchen. The fire was in a detached dwelling and all persons were out of the building on the intial 999 call. On crews arrival firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. Crews treated one male casualty on scene for burns until Ambulance paramedics were in attendance. Fire crews confirmed that the fire was out at 20:50 and that the premise was being ventilated to clear smoke from the premise. The cause of the fire was confirmed as accidental.
