Electricity Pole Fire

One fire appliance from Mevagissey and one fire appliance from St Austell attended reports of an electricity cable on fire close to houses. Just before their arrival the cable fell across the road. The firefighters cordoned off the area to keep members of the public safe and allowed the fire on the cable and on a pole to burn themselves out. Engineers from Western Power Distribution are in attendance isolating the power supplies to make the scene safe.
