At 0933 this morning a call was made to a property in Bude. 2 crews from Bude Community Fire Station and 1 crew from Holsworthy Fire Station attended this incident. On arrival crews found an electrical appliance had been left on an electric cooker that had been left switched on. The crews made the property safe and vented . There were 4 pets in the property, none of which were injured due to the incident. The occupier of the property had gone out and it was due to the working smoke alarm that a neighbour was alerted and called the Fire Service. Please check all appliances are switched off when you leave your property, and check that you have working smoke alarms.
