Small Domestic Appliance Fire

Crews from St Mawes and Mevagissey Community Fire Stations, plus a wholetime officer, attended a hotel this morning, where the smoke alarms were sounding and there was a reported smell of burning.

Upon receipt of the call, guests and staff were advised to evacuate the building, and on crews arrival there was a definite smell of burning throughout the ground floor of the hotel. The fire was discovered to be in a small domestic appliance. This was extinguished by crews.
