Chimney Fire

St Buryan, Penzance at 17/11/2015 18:37

One appliance from Penzance Fire Station attended a call to a chimney fire in St Buryan, Penzance. Crews used a stirrup pump, rods and a hose reel to try and extinguish the fire. Crews were unable to extinguish the fire from the hearth so then used a 135m ladder, a roof ladder and one hose reel jet to tackle the fire from the roof. Ropes and lines were used to ensure safety. The fire was extinguished from the roof. There are no further details for this incident.
