Person Rescued From Car Driven Into Flood Water

A full water rescue team from Tolvaddon, Falmouth and Penzance was mobilised to a vehicle stranded in two feet of flood water this evening. The male driver was assisted uninjured from the car by Fire Crews after he became stranded in the water when his vehicles engine cut out. Due to the limited access to the incident location the vehicle had to be left in situ by the fire service. Highways have been informed of this incident and are closing the road concerned.
