Upon receipt of a call from a property where a chimney fire was suspected, a crew of 6 firefighters from Hayle Community Fire Station were mobilised to the scene.
The crew found that the two storey domestic property had a difficult to access chimney that indeed had a fire contained. Chimney rods and a stirrup pump were used, by the firefighters, plus a shacks pack, triple extension ladder and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
