A crew from Camborne rescued a horse from a flooded field using hoses and lines today. The horse was resting in a field which had flooded at the lower end due to the freak weather conditions over the last two days. Because it was slippery when trying to get back up again the horse pushed itself down the sloping field into the lake which had formed at the bottom.
The owner managed to hold the horses head above water until the firefighters arrived. The horse, called Carlos, was soon pulled to safety and is now safe, well and warm again.
