One appliance from Launceston was initially mobilised for this incident. On arrival the car was found to be well alight and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hosereels to extinguish the fire, unfortunately the fire had spread into the nearby gorse and a second appliance from Launceston was mobilised to assist at the incident, which was quickly dealt with.
