At 1438 today Cornwall Fire And Rescue were called to a gas leak in Hazel Grove, St Merryn. A crew from Padstow Community Fire Station attended the incident. The crews attempted to stem the leak using dammit paste and then awaited for the arrival of Wales and West Gas utilities. The area was cordoned off by Fire Service personnel and members of the public were informed of the situation and some were temporarily evacuated. There is no further information on this incident.
