Two fire appliances from Bude Community Fire Station, ambulance and police responded to a fire in a flat, where the report stated that someone was inside. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel to extinguish the fire involving the kitchen. The person reported inside had made their own way out prior to the arrival of the fire crews and on advice from a Fire Control operator and was checked over by ambulance personnel. A small dog that was inside and suffering affects of smoke inhalation were given oxygen by firefighters.
