Duvet Burnt From Tea Light Candles

One fire appliance from Callington Community Fire Station was mobilised to a report that there had been a fire involving a duvet that was now out. Firefighters inspected to confirm that the fire, that had been started by tea light candles, was out.

Fire Safety Advice
Tea light candles may be small but they get hot enough to melt plastic and ignite combustible materials. Ensure that they are placed on a heat-resistant surface and a safe distance from other combustible materials.
