Two appliances from Launceston attended a report of a fire seen in a field between Egloskerry and Launceston, towards New Mills, the caller believed it to be a house on fire.
On arrival firefighters discovered a barn measuring approximately thirty metres by 25 metres, which had a fire involving one corner of the building. Crews wearing two breathing apparatus, used three hose reels to extinguish the fire.
There are no further details available regarding this incident.
