Perranporth attended this incident and crews wore Chemical Protection Suits and breathing apparatus to remove the cylinder above the high water mark, the suits were worn as a precaution and to protect the firefighters, the cylinder was then cordoned off from the public and collection was arranged through a specialist agency.
