A 999 call was received to a tumble dryer on fire in the garage of a domestic property. Ten firefighters on two appliances from Falmouth were mobilised to the scene. The property measured 20 x 10 meters and was well alight on crews arrival, two breathing apparatus and one hose reel were initially used on the fire. Firefighters requested assistance and a further five firefighters on an appliance from Truro was mobilized to the scene. Electricity engineers were requested to isolate the electricity, crews used four breathing apparatus, two jets, one hose reel jet and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. An Ambulance was requested to attend to treat one casualty on scene suffering from smoke inhalation. There are no more details available on this incident.
