Eleven firefighters on two appliances from Newquay attended a call to a grill pan on fire in a kitchen. The building measured 40 x 20 metres and had been evacuated on crews arrival. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a safety jet supplied from a hydrant. Police officers were requested to attend for traffic and crowd control. Crews confirmed at 15:12 that the fire had been extinguished. The property was ventilated by the fire service before leaving scene.
