At 0504 the Fire Service received a call to an address in Treassowe Road Penzance to a property with a smoke alarm sounding and smell of smoke. The caller stated that they believed the property to be occupied but could not raise anyone.
Two appliances from Penzance and one form St Just along with a Wholetime Officer was mobilised to the incident. Ambulance and police also attended. On arrival crews found a mid-terrace 2 storey property heavily smoke logged. Crews entered the property and extinguished a fire which was located in the kitchen using 1 hosereel and 4 breathing apparatus, and rescued 1 person, who was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by westcountry ambulance. The fire was accidental and confined and no other person(s) were involved. Crews ventilated the property prior to leaving the scene.
