At 0215 hours we were called to a rubbish fire on Penzance Road. One appliance from Helston Fire Station was mobilised to this incident. On arrival crews discovered a fire coming from the corner of a commercial building measuring 60 meters by 20 meters. Crews commenced firefighting activities using one hose reel jet and requested for two additional pumps to attend. Pumps from Mullion and Falmouth Stations with a wholetime officer were mobilised upon this request.

At 0250 hours a request for make pumps five and the aerial platform was made

At 0345 hours currently five appliances accompanied by specialist appliances are on scene. Crews at this time are attempting to make access to external cladding and are using a 135 ladder, 2 breathing apparatus and a zip gun.

At 0500 hours Good progress is being made and crews are now returning to their home stations.

At 0700 hours The fire has now been extinguished and all resources have left the scene.
