On receipt of this call appliances from Polruan and Looe were mobilised, on arrival crews found a fire in the lounge of a two storey semi detached dwelling measuring ten metres by six metres, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hosereel jets to extinguish the fire.
An ambulance was requested and on arrival treated one person suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.
Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel then proceeded to ventilate the premises using the positive pressure ventilation fan.
