Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service attended an incident at a commercial premises which involved an amount of a chemical which was smouldering within a building, appliances from St. Dennis, St. Columb and St. Austell attended as well as specialist resources from Falmouth and Penzance and the command unit from St. Just. Fire & Rescue personnel wearing breathing apparatus and chemical suits investigated the scene to assess the situation. The incident was scaled down and specialist teams from the on site staff were left to deal with the incident, one appliance from St. Dennis stayed in attendance as a precautionary measure.
