At 12:17 a call was received to a barn on fire near the A38 at Trerulefoot. The barn measured 20 x 20 metres and contained farm machinery and hay. Sixteen firefighters on three appliances from Liskeard and Saltash were mobilised to the incident. The barn was well alight on crews arrival and a fourth fire engine from Bodmin along with two water carriers from Liskeard and Plympton were sent on to the fire. Fire crew used four breathing apparatus, one jet and one hose reel to fight the fire. The fire was confirmed out at 13:16. Crews remain on scene turning and damping down.
