Fire Control received this call stating a fire in the laundry room and proceeded to mobilise resources from Penzance and Hayle, on arrival crews found that a fire involving an electrical appliance was fortunately out, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus inspected the area using a thermal imaging camera and then proceeded to ventilate the room.

Tumble dryers and washing machines contain powerful motors with fast moving parts that get very hot. If you do not clean and maintain your machine, excess fluff or lint can build up over time and catch fire.
