At 2009 Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were called to a bin on fire near the beach. One crew from Bude Community Fire Station attended the incident. On arrival the crew found a disposable barbecue had been left in the bin but had not been correctly extinguished before being thrown away.

If you are using a disposable barbecue please make sure that it properly extinguished before it is put into any bin.
