Fire At Commercial Premises

On the initial call for this incident three appliances were mobilised from Truro, Tolvaddon and Falmouth. On arrival at the incident flames and smoke were seen issuing from a building, a wholetime officer was also in attendance, there is a fire involving a single storey building measuring approximately thirty metres by ten metres involving a commercial storage warehouse, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using two main jets at the incident.
At approximately 2030 hours further resources were requested, the water carrier from Helston and further appliances from Truro and Perranporth attended.

Update 2130 hours: There are now a total of four main jets in use, the welfare vehicle from St. Dennis is also on route to the incident.

Update 2230 hours: Teams of firefighters are still committed at the scene using main jets, good progress is being made.

Update 2330 hours: There is now a ground monitor in use damping down the area and a JCB is in use making the structure safe by removing debris.

Update 0030 hours: The fire has now been extinguished, crews are turning over and damping down, some appliances will shortly be returning to their home stations.
