On receipt of this call, appliances from Delabole and Bodmin, and specialist vehicles from Bude and Bodmin were mobilised, on arrival the crews found the horse in shallow water unable to get get up the river bank. Fire & Rescue personnel used lines and strops to recover the horse to a place of safety. Crews remained until the arrival of a vet, who checked over the horse.
