Rescue of Cow

Lower Boscaswell, Pendeen at 27/07/2016 00:27

A cow weighing approximately half a tonne fell to the bottom of a seventy five foot cliff and sustained minimal injuries.
At 1553 hours the FRS sent two fire appliances from St Just fire station and a rope rescue tender from Tolvaddon fire station to the scene. Firefighters rescued the animal from rocks at the bottom of the cliff by using inflatable rescue paths, animal rescue gear and rescue lines. The cow was then handed back to the farmer.
