At 17:58 this evening a 999 call was received for a fire in the chimney of an industrial building on Tavistock road. Three appliances from Callington and Liskeard attended the incident along with a Flexi duty officer. On crews arrival there was a difficult fire in a chimney from an oven alight in a commercial property. The fire was located in the chimney between the ground floor and a ceiling void. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera on the fire. Firefighters liaised with on site engineers and used small tools to remove a section of the chimney to access the fire. Once the fire had been extinguished the incident was left in the hands of on site engineers.
