One fire appliance and the rescue tender from Tolvaddon and one fire appliance from Truro are in attendance at a road traffic collision that has blocked the main A30. Firefighters are using crash rescue equipment to release one casualty trapped in a vehicle. Ambulance and Police are also in attendance.

There is severe congestion on all roads in the area; drivers are asked to avoid if at all possible.

Update 1645hrs: Firefighters have freed the trapped casualty and the casualty has been left in care of the Ambulance service. The vehicles have been made safe and the fire crews will be leaving shortly. The incident will be left in care of the Police.
