At 01:37 numerous repeat calls were received at the Critical Control Centre reporting a car fire in the Regent Terrace area of Penzance. One appliance from Penzance along with a further appliance from St Just were mobilised to the incident. A third appliance was requested from scene as the fire has spread to a derelict building. Four breathing apparatus, one hosereel jet, one main jet, a Thermal Imaging Camera, and triple extension ladder were used.

03.23 Fire was extinguished.
04:42 Currently crews are still on scene damping down and monitoring hotspots.
The cause is arson suspected and spread. Devon and Cornwall Police have been notified.
