Straw Stack Fire

Crews from Newquay and St Columb attended approx. 60 bales of stacked straw on fire in a stubble field, when the crews arrived on scene the fire had spread to the surrounding stubble, crews used beaters to extinguish this and the farmer created a fire break around the blaze to allow the fire to burn out naturally. This incident was arson suspected and the Police have been informed.
