At 13:05hrs the Critical Control Centre received a call from the Coastguard stating that a speedboat was on fire on the beach at Pentewan. Appliances from Mevagissey and St Austell attended the incident. The speedboat was totally destroyed by the fire and was left to burn out under the supervision of the Coastguard.
