Six firefighters on one appliance from Hayle attended a call to an automatic fire alarm at some sheltered accommodation. On crews arrival they found one flat in the complex was heavily smoke logged. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one dry powder fire extinguisher on the fire. Once the fire had been extinguished crews ventilated the property and left the incident in the hands of a responsible person.
