On receipt of this call two appliances were mobilised one from Falmouth Community Fire Station and one from Helston Community Fire Station.
On arrival crews discovered smoke logging to the kitchen and boiler room area. On further investigation there had been a small fire in the boiler room the crew used positive pressure ventilation (PPV) to clear the smoke and isolated the power to the building.
The cause was accidental and the school put their emergency procedures to good use.
The good news is that the fire doors did their job and the damage was minimal so the school will be open for the first day of term tomorrow.
