At 1500hrs a call was received from the owner of the property stating his chimney had been struck by lightning. Two appliances from Truro one from Newquay Fire Stations and a Flexi Duty Officer were mobilised.
On investigation there was no sign of fire and crews used a triple extension ladder and a thermal image camera to check the property and the next door property. All was safe and the crew left the scene to continue their normal duties.
