A call received from a business premise on Chapel Terrace stating that there was a strong smell of gas coming from flat above. One crew from Hayle attended and on first impression there was a "smell of rotten eggs" to investigate further the crew requested a Hazmat Officer to attend with a gas monitor. Two crew using breathing apparatus then entered the building with the gas detector to reveal zero readings. The smell was later suspected to be coming from the sewer.
