Dogs Rescued From Property

At 2102 fire control received a 999 call with the caller stating they could see thick black smoke in their neighbour’s kitchen, and believed no one was in but that 2 dogs were inside the property.

Firefighters from Newquay were mobilised alongside a whole time officer. On arrival crews found a 2 storey semi-detached property with a fire in the ground floor kitchen, they used forced entry to gain access to the property before using one hosereel jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Two dogs were rescued from the property by firefighters, including a puppy who had oxygen administered by crews. Both dogs are well and have been reunited with their owner.
