On receipt of this call, both appliances from Saltash were mobilised, on arrival a request was made for a third appliance, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service were contacted and an appliance from Camels Head was mobilised. Crews were faced with a six by five metre semi detached property which was well alight, two main jets were in use, a hosereel jet and four personnel wearing breathing apparatus at the scene. An ambulance was requested to attend to treat one casualty for the effects of smoke inhalation. The fire was believed to have started in the bedroom area, after extinguishing the fire the crew proceeded to turn over and damp down.
