Three appliances from Bodmin and Lostwithiel were mobilised to a call from a property with a smell of burning and alarms sounding. On the 999 call fire appliances were dispatched to scene and the occupants were asked to evacuate the building. Whilst crews were mobile to incident a second call stating that the cause of the smoke was from a fire involving a deep fat fryer. On crews arrival two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a fire blanket was used on the deep fat fryer which was heavily smoking. At 03:25 it was confirmed the fire involving the deep fat fryer was out. The property was naturally ventilated by fire crews before leaving scene.
