Property Fire

Market Street, Bude at 12/10/2016 16:42

Firefighters from Bude and Holsworthy attended a property after a 999 call was made by the occupant stating the windows were blackened and the property was full of smoke. On arrival crews found one mid terrace property of two floors heavily smoke logged. Crews using breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which is believed to have started in a fridge freezer. Neighbouring properties were checked for smoke travel. This is all the information we have available on this incident.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue urge members of the public to always make sure they have a working smoke alarm in their property, and to test it regularly. For more information on smoke alarms visit our webpage link below.
