Two crews from St Austell Community Fire Station attended a house fire. On arrival crews found a two storey domestic property to have a fire in the ground floor kitchen. They used a hose reel and wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The cause of fire is believed to have been a candle left unattended.
