Incinerator Fire Spread To Roof

One appliance from Newquay and one appliance from Perranporth attended. A fire in an incinerator had spread to the roof space. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel to extinguish the fire. They then had to cut away to ensure that the fire had not spread unseen.

General Fire Safety Advice:
Owners of incinerators are reminded to regularly check the integrity of flues and chimneys and be mindful of where sparks may land. If any doubt, please get the incinerator checked out by a specialist.
