Firefighters from Callington and Liskeard were mobilised following reports of smoke from a window in a property in New Road. On arrival crews found a 2 storey building approximately 10 meters by 15 meters, with a fire on the ground floor involving a portable electric heater. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire was accidental and the property was allowed to ventilate naturally.
