Critical Control received several repeat calls to a car on fire in a nearby car park. One appliance from St Ives Fire Station was mobilised and on arrival found one car well alight, they used two breathing apparatus and two hosereels to extinguish the fire. Arson was suspected, Police were notified and on arrival the crews handed the incident over to them.

Anyone with information on fires being deliberately started are advised to anonymously call Crimestoppers free on 0800 555 111 or contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 with information.
