Hoax Call Put Lives At Risk

Trelander South, Truro at 23/12/2016 14:22

Fire appliances from Truro, Tolvaddon and Falmouth were mobilised along with a Fire Officer to a call stating that flames had been seen coming from the rear of a property. On arrival the crews discovered that the call had been made maliciously and was a hoax.

Whilst fire crews were attending this incident, they were not available for a genuine call that may have occurred in this area. This has put lives at risk.

It is a criminal offence to make hoax calls to the emergency services.
