On receipt of this call stating there was a chimney fire, one appliance from Delabole was mobilised, on arrival the crew found the property heavily smokelogged, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a positive pressure fan to ventilate the premises and then proceeded to extinguish the fire using the stirrup pump and chimney rods.
