Chimney Fire

An appliance from Penzance Community Fire Station attended to a property with a chimney fire. The crew used a triple extension ladder, stirrup pump and rods to extinguish the fire from the roof.
During 2014/15 Cornwall firefighters tackled 204 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
