Crews from St Austell and Bodmin Community Fire Stations attended a report of a fire in a caravan. Upon arrival the fire was believed to be out and the crews used breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to check if the fire was completely out. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke from the premises. The cause of the fire was accidental.
Did you know that on average 360 fires per year occur in caravans? It’s important to remember that fire safety doesn’t stop when you leave the house.
