Firefighters from Mevagissey and St Austell attended a fire in a two-storey house, measuring approximately 15 metres by 15 metres. A total of four breathing apparatus sets, a hosereel, a safety jet, a covering jet and ladder were used to extinguish the fire that had spread from a cupboard to the roof space. Once the fire had been extinguished, a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke. The fire started accidentally. The last crew left the scene at 0600hrs.
