Chimney Fire

Six firefighters on one appliance from Wadebridge attended a call to a chimney fire. Firefighters removed the fire from the fire place before using a stirrup pump, rods and thermal imaging camera to locate and extinguish the fire.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
