Chimney Fire
Widemouth Bay, Bude at 24/01/2017 21:03
On appliance from Bude attended this incident. There was a small fire above the register plate of the woodburner and crews dismantled it to check further using small gear and thermal image camera. The cause was accidental.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
